FedExFamilyHouse

FedExFamilyHouse opened its doors in December 2010 and is the first home of its kind for families at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Financial support for construction of FedExFamily House came from a $2.3 million donation from FedEx Corporation and personal donations from Fred Smith, chairman and CEO and his wife, Diane; and Alan Graf, executive vice president and CFO and his wife, Susan.

FedExFamilyHouse has served more than 40,000 family members from around the world since opening its doors. With your support we can continue to provide free, comfortable accommodations to out-of-town families of patients at Le Bonheur.

FedExFamilyHouse is located at the corner of Poplar Avenue and Ayers Street – across the street from Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. Visit their website.

FedExFamilyHouse operates 24 suites, multiple dining facilities and recreational spaces and a small business center, in addition to several other family-friendly amenities.

Volunteers

Volunteers for Gift of Life Mid-South are the lifeblood that provide comfort for the children and their families while in Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital and FedExFamilyHouse.

Volunteers, along with members of the board of directors, coordinate travel to and from Memphis, facilitate meals and accommodations with the FedExFamilyHouse, and provide other essentials to enhance the comfort of the children.

The majority of our children are from Spanish-speaking countries, and multilingual volunteers are always needed, be it Spanish, Chinese, or other languages spoken in Africa.

Help save the life of a child and get involved. Our goal is to save the life of one child per month.
